  2. 9.9 DB meeting excerpts:
  • Because of personal reasons, Rev. Isaac Tak Hong Man’s withdrawal letter from the position of Director of HK Ministry has been accepted, regrettably, by the Deacon Board. The current three Cantonese pastors will oversee this ministry for the time being.
  • The Mandarin Pastoral Search Committee has put forward Pastor Audrey Sheu as the Mandarin Pastoral candidate. Following the interview and thorough reference checks, the deacon board has concluded to extend a one-year contract to her, requiring no less than 22 hours of work per week, starting on October 1.
  • In 2024, the deacon board meeting will remain scheduled on the second Saturday of the month from 930 am to 1230 pm.
  • The integration of the evangelism departments of the three language congregations into a single collaborative unit by 2024 will result in enhanced cooperation and collaboration. It will be overseen by Vicki Chiu and Rennie Shum with the former as coordinator.
  • To fill the vacant department chair positions, various members will be approached.
  • An appreciation lunch will be provided to department chairs who served faithfully in the past years during the 2024 Planning and Budget meeting on October 21 in the church.
  • Regrettably, Ivan So stepped down from the position of English Evangelism Department chair because of personal reasons, and his resignation was accepted by the Deacon Board.
  • The 2024 Honorarium Schedule for external speakers was approved.
  • The Community Task Force will join forces with the APS Committee to evaluate the potential of using church resources and building alongside the city to provide support to the community during natural catastrophes or extreme situations.
  1. The Deacon Board is going to approach the potential 2024-2025 Departmental Chairpersons. In response to the Lord’s call, may our brothers and sisters become servant leaders.

  2. 11/4(Sat. 5-6:30pm. @the sanctuary) Cantonese seminar led by Rev. Andrew Kwong (邝炳钊牧师) about the life of Christians in heaven after death. The discussions that matter most are those that explore how we can live a Chist-centered life

  • 10/6 12:30-1:45pm Seminar Healthy Diet to Stay Away from Cancer led by registered nutritionist Teresa Lau followed by a luck draw. All are welcome.
  1. Because of a lack of participants registering as a group, the pre-planned First Aid Certificate Group Training through Red Cross for PG has been cancelled. However, APS still suggests that anyone interested takes the same course somewhere else. A portion of the training expenses will be subsidized. Please contact  before you register for the course.
  2. A big thanks to those who helped out at last Sunday’s Back to School BBQ. We had a good turn out and God blessed us with great weather. Looking forward to next year’s Back to School BBQ
